OVEN & STOVE PROBLEMS

WILL NOT IGNITE

When an electric stove won’t turn on, first be sure the appliance is plugged in and if all circuit breakers are switched on. You should check the pilot light for gas stoves. If the stove power cord is plugged in and the pilot light is burning, it means a different part will have to be replaced. The reason for the issue might be the infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or broil and bake element.

BURNER DOES NOT HEAT

A burner or stove without produce heat doesn’t do much good. Your oven will not heat when there’s a broken bake element or oven sensor. A burner does not fire up when an element breaks or when the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We can fix these problems in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

PROGRAM ISSUES

It’s safe to assume the control panel on a stove is broken if the program or timer settings are not working. In this case, we can fix control panels on GE, LG, Sears, Kenmore, KitchenAid and several other brands of ranges, stoves and ovens. We provide a warranty on control boards and parts we use for this type of stove repair service.

OVEN TEMPERATURE IS VERY HOT

You should have a hot oven. Just not too hot! When the oven heat is too hot, it might be because of a problem with the sensor or thermostat. Our repairmen are able to find the location of the problem and then repair it. Always be careful if troubleshooting this issue for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat source.

IGNITER DOESN’T LIGHT

A reoccurring stove issue is when an igniter will glow but does not light. The cause is sometimes from a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We will determine whether we are able to fix these parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning types of ovens are known to experience door problems. The door doesn’t open after the cleaning cycle. We inspect the door closure, thermostat and seal to troubleshoot why the door does not open up and then complete the repair so we can fix the issue.
